In 2006 I embarked on a documentary project of a “Passive Solar Straw bale Greenhouse” that was being built in Fillmore, Utah. Seeing that many people may wish to get information about how to reduce their energy bills I decided to dedicate several months to producing a how-to introduction DVD of the process. During filming I came to understand that there is so much information out there about alternative energy and construction techniques that I could only scratch the surface with this initial project. At that point the inception of a series entitled “Alternative Directions” began to form. I intend on creating a number of informational DVD’s for the energy conscious.
